The 39a between Blanchardstown and UCD is to get more buses in the daytime, and one every half hour from 11am to 5am.
Dublin Bus's chief executive Ray Coyne confirmed the details to politicians in west Dublin yesterday.
In an email he told them the new timetable would go online today and begin on Sunday December 13th.
Dublin Bus is also announcing extra services on seven more bus routes.
Routes 1, 9, 13, 14, 40 and 83 are all getting extra departures outside rush hour.
Dublin Bus says it means shorter waits between buses and a more reliable service.
