27 monitors have been installed in Dublin, Meath and Wicklow to monitor aircraft noise and understand the impact.
It says it takes the problem seriously and has spent over €20 million on measures, including insulation schemes for homes under flight paths.
The noise from planes at Dublin Airport could cause heart issues for almost 17,000 people living nearby.
That’s according to a study, which looked at the human health cost for residents.
This report took figures from the airport noise regulator to work out that 120,000 people living in the vicinity could have health problems caused by aircraft noise – including cardiovascular issues.
It estimates the cost to human health is over €770 million.
