Council Officials Announce A Series Of County Wide Road Closures

Road to be closed

R752 at Woodenbridge, Avoca, Co Wicklow

Period of closure

23^rd January, 2023 to the 27^th January, 2023

(from 7.00am to 7.00pm) inclusive

Alternative Routes

Follow the R753 from Corballis lower at the junction where the R752 and R753 meet. Continue on the R753 into Ballinaclash, The Straight Mile, Ballyloughlin, Cronebeg into Aughrim. Follow the R753 until it meets the R747 turn to the left and follow on the R747 back to Woodenbridge hotel. Turn left onto the R752 into Avoca where you will exit the diversion route.

Reason for Closure

This closure is to facilitate the clearance of dangerous roadside trees

R752 at the Meetings of the Waters, Avoca, Co Wicklow

Period of closure

16^th January, 2023 to the 20^th January, 2023

(from 7.00am to 7.00pm) inclusive

Alternative Routes

Follow the R752 from Avoca to the Woodenbridge hotel continue on the R752 to until it meets the R747 turn to the right and follow on the R747 back to Aughrim. Turn right onto the R753 in Aughrim and follow the R753 into Cronebeg , Ballyloughlin, The Straight Mile, Ballinaclash and continue into Corballis lower where the R752 and R753 meets turn to the left to exit diversion route

L-1042-0 Kilquade Road, Kilcoole, Co. Wicklow

Period of closure

4^th January, 2023 (from 08.30am to 05.00pm)

Alternative Routes

R774, N11, R761, L1048, L5542 & L1042

Reason for Closure

This road closure is necessary in order to facilitate laying of ducting.

Road to be closed

L-1020, Cookstown Road, Enniskerry, Co Wicklow

Pedestrian access will be maintained.

Period of closure

3^rd January, 2023 to the 4^th January, 2023 inclusive

Alternative Routes

Eastbound detour: Northwards on the R760 through Enniskerry and eastwards on the R117 to the N11.

Westbound detour: Westwards on the R117 to Enniskerry and southwards to Cookstown Road.

Reason for Closure

This closure is to facilitate the completion of traffic calming measures at Powerscourt National School.

L-97544, Aughrim, Co. Wicklow

Period of closure

3^rd January, 2023 to the 27^th January, 2023  inclusive

Alternative Routes

Follow the R753 at Aughrim Lower past Woodfab timber, turn to the left at the next junction at Tinnakilly Upper.  Continue straight and turn to the left to enter the private cul de sac road.  At the private cul de sac road, at Tinakilly lower turn right to bring you back to the R753.  Turn to the right to head for Aughrim and turn to the left to bring you towards Croneybeg.

Reason for Closure

This road closure is necessary in order to facilitate laying of a new watermain.
