Investigations are underway after a serious case of illegal dumping emerged in west Wicklow last weekend.
A substantial amount of clothing, an armchair, and household items including a pitchfork were found dumped at an entrance to a Coillte wood at Mullan Cross near the village of Rathdangan.
According to Wicklow news.net, the incident was reported to the council on Friday. Personal information was found among the items which the County Council’s Environmental Team will use to secure a conviction.
According to the report, a Wexford man was ordered to pay Є4,000 plus Є550 costs last month, after being caught on CCTV fly tipping at Kilcarra in Arklow in August of 2019.
