A video of the draw has been circulating on social media in recent weeks, attracting comments that it was an unfair process and needs to be investigated.
According to Wicklownews.net, the Chief executive of the Wicklow county board Martin Fitzgerald has confirmed that the provincial council has been asked to conduct an independent inquiry into the way the draw was conducted, to avoid any conflict of interest should the investigation be conducted internally.
