Ready to refresh your wardrobe and help the planet?
How much do think the global fashion industry is worth? G'wan have a guess... $1.7 trillion! Did you know less than 1% of textiles are recycled? I know, its a shocker. With consumption projected to rise by 63% by 2030 its more important than ever we do what we can.
In Ireland, we buy an average 53 kg of new textiles per person each year - disposing of 164,000 tonnes annually; the second highest in the EU
- 6% is reused locally
- 9% is recycled 2
- 21% is exported for reuse abroad
