The country's 14-day incidence rate of Covid-19 cases is now at its highest point since the end of February.
It now stands at 231 cases per 100,000 people, while the five-day moving average of cases has increased by more than 98 percent in a week.
Last night 1,071 new infections were announced by the Department of Health.
There are 101 patients In hospitals with the virus, while there are 20 in ICU according to latest figures.
