Following a long and anxious wait overnight, Independents Gerry O’Neill, Peir Leonard, John Snell, Stephen Stokes and Joe Behan were all re-elected in their respective electoral areas of Baltinglass, Greystones, Arklow and Bray West.

Fianna Fail's Pat Kennedy and Fine Gael's Melanie Corrigan followed suit in Arklow and Bray East respectively.
As counting resumes this morning the Bray East LEA will take centre stage with Aoife Flynn Kennedy expected to be home and dry.
